Storm Away claimed the concluding bumper at Tramore as worsening fog meant limited viewing for punters in the last.

The Pat Flynn-trained newcomer was settled mid-division in the two-mile contest before taking closer order at the top bend.

As the field emerged back into view in the straight the Kalanisi filly was in the lead and kept on well in the closing stages to score by a length from the fast finishing Fromdollarstoeuros

The Willie Mullins-trained Slate Lady had been sent off 6/4 favourite, returning from a long break, but finished second last and completely tailed off.

The winner had been nibbled at this morning from 12/1 into 7/1 and returned 9/1 on course.

“I was surprised she was 9/1 as she's a half-sister to Bahrain Storm,” said Flynn.

“I didn't think she'd go on that ground though. We'll go for the big bumper at Punchestown now (ITBA Fillies Scheme Premier Bumper). She'll be even better on better ground.

“It's great as they are new owners (Camphor Syndicate) and they are all from around Waterford.”
