Bargain buy Mutasareb is a great fun horse

He cost £4,200 at Doncaster last April, when bought by his trainer Andy Oliver and Mutasareb is proving to be a good investment for his connections as he won his third race at Dundalk in the last couple of months. He completed a double for his rider Joseph O'Brien, earlier successful on Flavia Tatiana when he took the [email protected] Handicap.

Mutasareb (2/1 this morning into 10/11) got to the front a furlong out and kept going well to beat First Friday (a general 7/1 this morning into 4/1) by half a length.

Oliver said: "He's a great big strong horse and he is taking his racing well.

"Joseph again gave him a great ride. His tactical ability is as good as any rider now.

"We'll see what the handicapper does now but he's a great fun horse to have." (AM & EM)
