The consistent Three Bells landed his second success of the summer with game victory in the six furlong handicap at Leopardstown.

Wayne Lordan produced the 8/1 shot to lead inside the final furlong, claiming long-time leader Glimmer Of Peace

Pat Downey's charge had to knuckle down in the closing stages as 3/1 favourite Captain Power pressed hard to get within a neck.

"I was disappointed with him at the Curragh on Sunday (finished eighth). He just never travelled, and I think they didn't go fast enough," said Downey.

"He may go to Listowel now, and we can take a few days off and enjoy it!"

The winning Bells Syndicate are from Lobinstown in Co. Meath which isn't too far from Downey's yard in Slane.

The trainer has 16 in training at the moment and stated afterwards that he has "room for more!"
