Marcus Callaghan landed a gamble when his charge Blue Law (13/2 - 9/2) came home in front of division one of the www.citynorthhotel.com Handicap in the hands of the very capable Billy Lee.
Lee produced the Fath gelding to lead two furlongs from home and the favourite kept on well for Lee to post a three a length win over Thistimesforgood
Winning trainer Callaghan remarked: “I’ve only two in training and both have won now.”
“This lad is a big coward, he doesn’t like horses coming either side of him he doesn’t like to be crowded.”
“He stayed the trip well and it probably helped that they went quick early on.”
