The Jim Bolger trained Round Two winner of last year’s first pattern juvenile race the Marble Hill Stakes, returned to winning ways at Limerick today when landing the McMahon's Munster Mile Handicap for jockey Kevin Manning.

The son of Teofilo won his first two starts as a two year old last May, including the Listed Marble Hill Stakes. He later finished seventh in the 2015 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot but absent for almost a year before returning to action last May.

Today he was winning for the first time in four starts this year when battling to a half length win over the fast-finishing Wychwood Warrior

Afterwards Ger Flynn, Bolger’s travelling head man, stated “it’s great to get him back winning but he was worth waiting for, He’s a versatile horse and went on that ground despite it being like a glue-pot. Hopefully it’s now onwards and upwards for him.”
