Bookies Pay The Bounty

Robert Tyner's horses are in good form and following the success of By The Hour at Sligo on Wednesday, the Shippool, Kinsale yard struck again with Pay The Bounty in the YITBA Encourage Young People To Go Racing Beginners Steeplechase at Gowran.

Philip Enright, still on a few days grace after riding out his claim on the aforementioned By The Hour, got the well-backed Pay The Bounty (11/2 into 7/2) to the front at the last and he went on to beat Coast by three lengths.

Tyner said: "That was a nice performance and we're very happy as we thought he might need it. He jumped great and finished better than he had been before. There was something just not right with him last season as he wasn't the horse that we thought he was."

Pay The Bounty, returning from a 181 day break here, was adding to a couple of racecourse successes and a 'point' win on this his first start over the larger obstacles.
