Brinestone powered clear in the closing stages to run out a convincing winner of the nine furlong handicap at the Curragh.

Gary Carroll sent his mount up to tackle front-runner Jeremy's Girl two furlongs out and he soon had things in control.

Joe Murphy's charge kicked on over a furlong out and stretched clear in the closing stages to post an eight-length success.

The winner was gaining a quick follow-up success having landed his maiden at Navan last Wednesday.

He was sent off 4/1 second choice in the market behind 3/1 favourite Rhiannon who finished back in fourth.

"He loved the conditions and he's improving as well," commented Carroll after the win.
