The morning favourite Bronte made all to win the Summer Sunday Family Day on 21st July Handicap under Billy Lee for David Wachman.

The daughter of Oasis Dream was 2/1 this morning with Paddy Power but she opened on-course at 11/4 before drifting out to 10/3 at the off.

After winning her maiden at Roscommon last month on the eighth time of asking, she finished a good second in a handicap at Fairyhouse on her last start.

Running in handicap company for the third time today, she quickly got to the front and was ridden to assert inside final furlong, keeping on well to score by a length and a half. Rummaging kept on to take second under Shane Foley for Mick Halford at 4/1 (opened 11/2 on-course), while the 2/1 favourite Seanie (opened 9/4 on-course) could only manage a disappointing fourth under Connor King for David Marnane.

Billy Lee said afterwards: "She is a fierce consistent filly. She likes to make it but she can be ridden from anywhere and she is improving." Sean Og Coulston was withdrawn at the start for refusing to load, so a Rule 4 applies to all bets, a deduction of 5 cent in the euro.
