Elizabeth Browning stormed from last to first to cause a bit of a shock in the Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh today.

Seamie Heffernan sat last on the 12/1 shot in the Group 2 contest before pulling wide in the straight.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly quickened smartly to lead inside the final furlong and record a length-and-three-quarter success in the nine-furlong event.

The winner had been third in the Naas Oaks Trial on her most recent outing.

“Seamus gave her a great ride. She's a filly we've always thought had a lot of ability and she missed a lot of lines,” said O'Brien.

“She's starting to get it together and on her last few runs she's starting to back up.

“It's a great race for fillies at this time of year. It's fits in perfect.

“She'll stay a bit further, she was coming home well.”
