Burn And Turn made the breakthrough over fences on her fourth attempt as she took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase in convincing fashion under Robbie Power for Jessica Harrington. The classy daughter of Flemensfirth finished third to Nadiya De La Vega in a Grade 3 at the Punchestown Festival on her last start and she was sent off the 11/10 favourite to oblige this afternoon. Having chased the leaders for much of the contest she made headway into third at the third last before improving to lead two out. She asserted before the last and quickly went clear, coming home an easy eight length winner. Six Stone Ned ran a fine race on his chasing debut to finish second at 7/1 (was 11/1 this morning and backed from 9/1 on-course) under Davy Condon for Noel Meade while Hit The Headlines was a further length and three parts back in third under Ruby Walsh for Charlie Swan at 9/2. Jessica Harrington said afterwards: "I’m delighted with her, it was coming. She has now won a bumper, a maiden hurdle, a conditions hurdle and a novice chase.
