John Oxx looks to have a strong Classic contender for next season after Sea The Stars led home a stable one-two in the Juddmonte Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.

The half-brother to Galileo, sent off a 7-4 shot on his step up to Group Two company after winning a Leopardstown maiden, was made to work hard to get past Mourayan in the final furlong under Mick Kinane.

But he was a decisive half-length winner in the end, with Masterofthehorse staying on well for third, another short head away. Oxx is now eyeing the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Richard Hannon has a phenomenal record in sales races and he picked up two more huge pots when Soul City and Minor Vamp landed a notable double.

In the Parknasilla Hotel Goffs (C&G) Million, Richard Hughes had 5-2 favourite Soul City smartly away and the juvenile showed plenty of determination when the challengers arrived in the final two furlongs.< Gan Amhras was prominent all the way and threw down the strongest bid to keep the prize at home, but he was still half a length down at the line, with stablemate Intense Focus in third.

Minor Vamp came with a wet sail in the final furlong in the Parknasilla Hotel Goffs Fillies Million to lead home a Hannon one-two completed by Baileys Cacao

The Hannon team were already posing a major threat when Fanditha struck the front, but it was her stablemate Minor Vamp (10-1) who proved best as she produced a decisive kick down the outside under Mick Kinane.

Baileys Cacao ran on late to take second, two lengths behind, with Kevin Prendergast's Samba School best of the home defence in third.< Chintz (6-1) pulled clear in the closing stages to run out a decisive winner of the Group Three C L Weld Park Stakes for David Wachman.

Held up just off the pace by Seamus Heffernan, she moved stylishly into contention before storming into the lead over a furlong out to beat Mick Channon's raider Lahaleeb by a length and three-quarters.< Le Cadre Noir (7-1) shrugged off a 10-week break to land the Listed Waterford Testimonial Stakes after 7-2 joint-
