The Jessica Harrington trained Cailin Annamh bounced back from a heavy fall on her chase debut at Fairyhouse just 17 days ago when readily winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Chase at Limerick today.

The daughter of Definite Article was in contention when falling at the second last fence earlier this month but, ridden today by Davy Russell, put in a solid round of jumping before quickening up well for a comfortable three and a half lengths win over Caoimhe's Delight

Afterwards Harrington stated “she is some gutsy mare to come back so well after what was a terrible fall and jumped for fun today.”

“Today's ground was as slow as she'd want it but I'm thrilled with her. She'll get seven pounds from the geldings in novice chases now and she will stay 2m4f to 2m6f but just isn't a soft ground mare.”
