Capture The Action has really come good this season and brought her tally for the current campaign to three wins when taking the M2 Construction, Wexford Novice Handicap Hurdle.

The Jimmy Mangan-trained daughter of Gold Well, who also won a point-to-point two years ago, was produced by Sean O’Keeffe to lead approaching the final flight.

The 8/1 chance kept on well on the run-in to hold Mc Alpine who did his prospects no favours with a mistake at the last, by a length and three quarters. Rock On Seamie was a further five and a half lengths back in third, with long-time leader Crazyheart weakening in the closing stages to finish sixth.

O'Keeffe said, "She is a very game mare and that's three wins for her now this season. She was placed a lot of times before that but she gained confidence once she got her head in front.

"She jumped super and Jimmy has done a great job with her. She can be a funny mare but he has kept her really sweet and in great form.

"I felt the other horse coming but I knew my one would pick up because I hadn't really gone for her until the back of the last. She gave me good jumps at the last two so I knew she had enough to hold on."
