Carberry makes it a winning return

NIna Carberry made it a winning return after she took the final race on todays card at Downpatrick aboard the 4/9 favourite Jim Bowie

Carberry had to work hard to hold off the efforts of Roger Quinlan aboard Romantic Lead but the pair kept on well close home for a one a three parts of a length win.

Winning trainer Noel Meade said afterwards: "He's more of a jumper than a bumper horse. NIna said he was caught for a bit of toe at the top of the hill."

"He needs two and half miles but he's a grand horse and he'll go jumping soon i'd say we'll just have to talk to the owners."
