Career Move in front at Cork

Cathy Harrison filled the breeder, owner, trainer role with Career Move winner of the I.N.H. Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Maiden Hurdle at Cork and for good measure her daughter Kate was in the plate.

The nine-year-old daughter of Oscar, a winner on the flat at Galway back in October 2008 and of a bumper at this course in August of that year, was always on the pace in this two miler and she fought off Golden Society on the run-in by half a length.

Harrison, the 28-year-old winning rider, said: "That's my fifth winner and I've had two here before. This mare was always very talented but she can be a bit difficult. She has always had loads of speed.

"She has quite a nice handicap mark but I don't know where she'll go from here. It is hard to get everything right with her."

Originally from Limerick, the Harrison family, who are all in the veterinary business, are based near Rathdowney in County Laois.
