The Damien English trained Cash Or Casualty put in a determined front running display under Rory Cleary to take the opener at Dundalk this evening, the Irish News Red Hand Top Tips Rated Race.

The 5yo son of Footstepsinthesand has now won three times in his last four starts, finishing second on the other occasion.

Sent off at 4/1 he made all and just held off the challenge of Collingwood (9/1), under Luke Dempsey, to win by a neck at the line.

The gamble of the race was the Tracey Collins trained Indian Landing The Pat Smullen ridden 5yo was 9/2 this morning with Paddy Powers but went off the 7/4 favourite.

He raced on the outside up the home straight but just couldn’t match the winner and had to settle for third, three parts of a length back.

Damien English said afterwards: "I was raging when it was called off on Friday as he was in great form and he is in again here next Wednesday.

"He is so uncomplicated, he jumps and goes and we are not going to change the way we run him now.

"I have six in training at the moment and I like them all, they are nice types."
