Coffee Tea a Good Start at Cork

The early money may have been for Manor Park but on course the Coffee Tea Or Me supporters emerged (7/4 into 11/10) and the match materialised out on the track as the latter got up to defeat the former by a neck.

Manor Park was a bit ponderous going into the last when a couple of lengths up and Ruby Walsh got a good response from Coffee Tea Or Me on the level.

Patrick Mullins, son of winning trainer, Willie, said: "He'll go for the four-year-old hurdle now at Fairyhouse. Ruby said he was hanging a bit and that he wanted to wait until after the last to challenge, where the horse could use his flat speed."

The point-to-point winning four-year-old mare, Special Token ran a huge race as a 50/1 chance to finish a length and three parts back in third. (EM)
