Condon gains welcome succcess

Trainer Ken Condon recorded a belated first winner of the Flat season when his Toberanthawn landed the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap, under Ben Curtis.

The daughter of Danehill Dancer chased the leaders before moving through to lead under two furlongs out, eventually staying on well for an easy three and a half lengths win over Talk Of Excitement.

The win provided Condon, whose horses have failed to sparkle this season, with his first win since Davidii won at Dundalk 364 days ago.
