Cool Running flies for Crowe

Christy Roche's Cool Running landed the E28,500 Ballygarry House Hotel Owen McGillicuddy Cup Handicap Hurdle, on day two of the rearranged Tralee Festival.

Ridden by Alan Crowe, the almost jet-black gelding raced prominently before getting to the front at the second last, staying on gamely for a length and a quarter win over Lady Steppes

Roche was not available for comment but the win was the eighth success achieved by Cool Running, who has also finished third in the 2007 Galway Plate.lway Plate.
