Crowe seen to good effect

Alan Crowe was seen to good effect after he came home in front of the concluding race on this evening’s card, the O’Neill’s Bar Handicap Hurdle aboard the Christy Roche trained Courella at odds of 6/1.

Crowe raced his mount in behind the leaders, improved to lead from 2 out and under a strong drive by Crowe the pair kept on well to hold off the 9/2 favourite Bachelor Affair under Tommy Treacy by a neck.

Winning owner Tim Kavanagh from Newtownmount Kennedy said afterwards: “We’re delighted he won we have had a couple of winners with Christy before. The change in ground really helped this fellow, he loves the good ground.”
