It has been a terrific Listowel Harvest Festival for trainer Garrett Power who saddled his third winner of the week as Curragh Golan thundered home in the three mile handicap chase.

Paul Towned rode a confident race on the 11-year-old gelding who raced in third throughout.

A great jump at the second last brought him right into contention and he then led narrowly at the last.

He was too strong for Katie Do on the run-in as he stayed on strongly to post a victory by three lengths.

The winner was well supported at the track from 11/4 to 2/1 favourite. Katie Do was a 5/1 chance.

Garrett Power said: "He's been so consistent all year and deserved that. I'm delighted for the boys, they have been so good to me. I appreciate all the work at home from the lads. It's been a great few days.

"He has been holding his form and there is a Grade C handicap for him at Gowran on October 1st for him next - it might be a step too far but we'll see."
