Curraheen Princess backed up her recent victory at Navan by beating the same rival, Amazing Emma into second again.

A fortnight ago, she beat Amazing Emma by three parts of a length over five furlongs and today there was half a length between the pair.

Amazing Emma was backed down to 3/1 favourite to get her revenge, and held every chance once she travelled into the lead inside the final furlong.

She was mugged, though, by Curraheen Princess who came fast and late down the outer under Joe Doyle to get up in the closing stages at 10/3. Super Cub was three parts of a length further behind in third at 22/1.

Trainer Nicky Stokes said: "A very straightforward mare - she eats, sleeps and sprints!

"I thought she won with a bit in hand the other day. She's very laid-back through her races and travels and finishes well.

"Winning rides are always good rides, aren't they?!"
