Notnowcato sired a Royal Ascot winner during the week when Fast Or Free won the Brittania and another son, Custom Cut showed the toughness associated with his father when landing the Value Cabs Rated Race at Down Royal under Danny Grant.

A winner only six days ago at Cork when his half-sister, Sapphire also scored, Custom Cut looked to be a 'sitting duck' in front for a few strides here as Joe Eile moved strongly in behind.

However Custom Cut found plenty when Grant asked him to go and win his race and he stretched on in the final furlong to prevail by two lengths.

John Kent, representing his father, winning trainer, George, said: "He's a tough little horse. He's in at the sales but he could also go to Galway.

"We only have a handful of horses so it's great for the yard. We're mainly into pre-training." (MG & EM)
