Ben Dalton has certainly had a week to remember after winning the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday on 50/1 shot Liberty Counsel, and he topped it off by picking up the Grade 2 Webster Cup Chase at Navan on 18/1 outsider Sumkindasuprstar

“It has been a great week and its getting better and better. He battled on really well,” Dalton said after the two and a half mile race.

“He just missed the last and was about half a length down, but he battled back well. It was a brave performance.”

Dalton won a driving finish with Adrian Heskin on 10/1 chance Mr Cracker by a short head. They fought out the finish some 25 lengths in front of third-place Call The Police

Willie Mullins’ charge went off at 5/4 but had nothing more to give from two out while Rathlin the 6/5 favourite finished a neck behind in fourth, again struggling from the second last.
