Damien's Oscar impresses

Tom Foley's Damien's Oscar left a disappointing initial hurdle effort at Cork well behind when recording a smart ten lengths winner in the Santa's Little Helper Maiden Hurdle at Gowran today.

Ridden by Keith Clarke, the son of Oscar tracked the leaders before moving through to lead before the third last, eventually staying on very well for a ten lengths win over Phoenix Run

Afterwards Foley reported "Damien's Oscar disappointed at Cork but every horse is entitled to one bad day. However, he made up for it today and we'll have a look for a race over Christmas next."
