The Stewards interviewed Danny Mullins, rider of the winner, Barack concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Mr. Frank Ennis, trainer of the winner, represented Mr. Jim Bolger, Master of Danny Mullins at this enquiry.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Danny Mullins had used his whip with excessive force and frequency and they therefore suspended him for one raceday (date to be confirmed by the Turf Club).
