Discipline made short of work of the opposition as the betting suggested when making a stylish debut in landing the opening Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden at Gowran.

Pat Smullen made all on the 4/11 shot and she didn't need to be asked to do any more in the final quarter of a mile to saunter away from Fiuntach by seven and a half lengths.

"She's a very athletic filly and handles that ground well," said winning trainer Dermot Weld of Prince Khalid Abdullah's three-year-old.

"She's a filly that we hope to get black-type with during the year and we may look at a Guineas trial with her.

"She was a very immature filly as a two-year-old. She wintered well and done well. She's effective on that ground as her brother (Famous Name) was."
