Donnas Palm makes winning chase debut

Noel Meade’s purple patch continued at Wexford today when his Donnas Palm under stable jockey Paul Carberry, made a winning chase debut in the Royal Marine Hotel Beginners Chase, which unfortunately was run in thick fog.

The contest looked a fair event for its type on paper and while the result may well prove informative in time, viewing of the contest was restricted to only a few glimpses of the runners. In the end, Donnas Palm had three and a half lengths to spare over Gates Of Rome

Carberry later said “jumping was the main thing today and Donnas Palm did that well. He should be good enough for graded company over fences.”
