Mick Halford and Shane Foley enjoyed a double at Dundalk as Refusetolisten won a driving finish to the seven furlong maiden with Chief Suspect

The 15/2 shot landed the spoils by a nose from 2/1 favourite Chief Suspect and Gary Carroll. Foley drove her up on the outside to collar front-running Chief Suspect just before the line.

Mick Halford said: “She had some good runs here and didn’t seem to get on well on grass. We kept her for this race as it was the only race for her for a while. I’m glad to get a winning bracket with her.

“She’s still green and was always quite free and hard to settle at home. She was arriving in races and not finishing so we were trying to teach her to settle at home. She’ll have a little break now and come up here for the winter series. She loves fast ground.

“She’s a filly that might get better with a bit of racing. She put her nose in the right place.”
