Trainer Aidan O'Brien has stated that 2,000 Guineas and Epsom Derby winner Camelot is not certain to contest tomorrow's Irish Derby, due to the threat of more rain and heavier ground.

Speaking after his Warwick Avenue won the concluding maiden at The Curragh today, O'Brien stated “it's heavy ground. We want to run Camelot and as long as the heavens don't open tonight he probably will run.

“I haven't had a chance to talk to all the lads (jockeys) to see what they think of the ground yet but I'll be speaking to them later.”

Camelot is currently best priced at 4/11f with bookmakers for the Classic.
