Trainer Gordon Elliott recorded an across-the-card double, six and a half hours apart, when his Silverlord narrowly landed the Racing Post Handicap at Dundalk this evening, under Emmet McNamara.

The winner arrived with a late challenge to deny Raydari a hat-trick on the line, for a short head win.

Elliott, who earlier was present to see his Bonisland impressively win the 2,40 race at Down Royal, stated “Silverlord is a tricky enough horse and the owner (Stephanie Swift) who has been patient.

“He liked that better ground and would be suited by going up to a mile and a half. Hopefully he can win another handicap.”
