Doyle celebrates son's birth with winner

Lookoutnow proved tough in front as he ran out a game winner of the novice handicap hurdle at Thurles.

Mikey Butler was in the drive position turning for home, in the 2m6f contest, and 13/8 favourite Rockyaboya looked a big danger at the second last.

Eoin Doyle 's charge stuck to his guns well in front, however, holding his rival at bay for a length-and-three-quarters victory.

The win completed a memorable couple of days for Doyle, who also scored with Come To The Party at Downpatrick yesterday, and welcomed a baby boy into the world this morning.

His wife Gemma gave birth to a boy at 7.30am this morning, who has been called Noel.

"That's great - we can have a few pints now," joked Doyle. "The baby was 7lb 1oz so we might make a jockey out of him!"

"This fella is tough and he stays well in that ground - he loves it. He's in over Christmas but we might just leave him for a few weeks.

"He jumps very well and will go chasing eventually."
