Eoin Doyle got off to the perfect start with a runner in the famous Queally silks (Space Trucker, Dance Beat etc.) when Ballinlough Lady took her opportunity as the first reserve under Richie Kiely in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Flat Race at Wexford.

Run off in horrible conditions, this two miler saw the victorious Milan mare get to the front before the straight before staying on well to keep the favourite, Kymin's Way at bay by two and three parts of a length.

A stable representative suggested that Ballinlough Lady could do with better ground. She was third in a point-to-point at Inch in April of 2011 and that sphere had been an option again if she hadn't competed here.

Apparently her home work had been good and she is well-regarded. The five-year-old is out of the three time winner, Megsie Here. (DM & EM)
