Precious Dream despite drifting in the market, ran out a cosy winner of the opening maiden at Dundalk.

David Wachman 's filly was as short as 11/10 this morning but bookmakers couldn't give her away on course and she eventually went off 5/2 second choice.

Wayne Lordan produced his filly with a challenge a furlong out and she soon hit the front.

The daughter of Mr Greeley was soon in control and only needed hands and heels persuasion in the closing stages to post a two-length success over 13/8f Dimitar

"She loved the surface," reported Lordan afterwards. "We thought six furlongs might be a bit short.

"It has taken her a few runs to get it together and she'll probably go up in trip now."
