Miss Faithful confirmed the promise of her third to the gambled-on Leave At Dawn at Thurles last month when taking the two-mile handicap hurdle in fine style at Tramore.

The Peter McCreery-trained mare was confidently ridden by Brian Hayes, and swept to the front at the final flight.

She quickly asserted on the short run-in to score by three and a half lengths from fellow 6/1 co favourite Fort Carson

The runner-up cut out much of the running until headed by ultimate third Borussia at the penultimate hurdle.

The winner’s stablemate Graney Town was available at double-figure prices this morning and supported again from 9/1 into 6/1 on track but could only manage ninth.

The other co favourite Duty Dance finished fourth.

McCreery said, "She deserved that. She had been knocking on the door for a bit and the competition probably wasn't as good today.

"She ran behind some good ones last year in maidens like The Tullow Tank and she got highly handicapped. She is getting into her own class now and she will stay a bit further.

"We just have to keep a lid on her beforehand and Brian gets on well with her. She is very lit up."

Owner Paul Doolin from Rathcoole, Co. Dublin said, "That is my first winner and I've been waiting twenty years for it. I've had seconds and thirds before. We will be celebrating in An Poitin Stil tonight and a big thanks to Peter McCreery."
