The money for Drishogue Boy in the Clonoulty Handicap Hurdle proved significant as he ran out a very easy winner of the 2m6f contest at Thurles.

Noel Brett 's charge was pulled up at the track last month on his first start for two years but was backed into 8/1 having been as big as 20/1 this morning.

Denis Hogan produced his mount to lead at the second last and he powered clear going to the final flight to record a nine-and-a-half length success.

It was a welcome victory for the Clonmel handler who had last saddled a winner in February 2013.

"He has had so many problems and you'd just be hoping he'd stay right and will be ok in the morning. We'll give him a chance now and he won't run any time soon," said Brett.
