Dunne successfully teams up with Bowe again

Harley Dunne partnered his second winner when giving Hollyville a strong drive home on the run-in to land the Fran Murrin Memorial Maiden Hurdle.

Teenager Dunne is based with trainer Colin Bowe, who also provided his first winner on his very first ride when Knockreigh scored at Kilbeggan back in April. Kilrush (25/1) set out to make all in this two miles and seven furlongs test. The five-year-old grey was only headed after the last by Hollyville, with the 15/8 joint favourite keeping on best to win by a length and a half.

Colin Bowe said: “She's been knocking on the door, and the key to her is good ground and a bit of a trip.”

The successful T & J Partnership is a real family affair as Enniscorthy-based Noel Meionns explained. “She's owned by myself and my wife Jenny, who is currently expecting twins, and also Jenny's sister Tracey.”
