Dynamite Dixie overcame Madam Mo in the maiden for fouryear-olds and older in Limerick and in so doing got Jim Bolger and Kevin Manning on the board.

Manning was content to track Madam Mo throughout but moved into the lead just over a furlong out. From there the 13/8 favourite kept up to her work to win by a length and a half.

Madam Mo was second at 3/1 (from 9/2 in the morning). The front pair pulled well clear of the others who were headed by Carla’s Princess (16/1) in third, some six and a half lengths adrift.

Ger Flynn, travelling head lad, commented: “He had a good run the last day. He seemed to handle the ground well enough although being by Dylan Thomas you would think he would want better ground. It looks like he could step up in trip.”

Dynamite Dixie’s last run was over course and distance (extended mile) when he was second to Conan’s Rock on soft to heavy going. He was getting off the mark today at the eighth time of asking.
