The Arthur Moore trained Crossed My Mind ran out a comfortable winner of the LAD, Murform, McCrea & Raptic Ltd. Maiden Hurdle.

Having unseated on his debut at Cork in January, the son of Beneficial then finished a decent fourth to Melon at Leopardstown.

Sent off at 5/2 today he was settled in mid-division by Jody McGarvey. He travelled strongly in fifth before they entered the straight and improved to lead at the second last, keeping on well from there to score easily by four and a half lengths. Monotype (9/4 and from 4's this morning) finished second under Ger Fox for Paul Nolan, while Finnegan's Hollow (50's this morning and from 33's to 25's on-course) was another three and a half lengths back in third under Brian Hayes for Gordon Doyle. Foxearth who was sent off the 2/1 favourite, attempted to make all, but eventually had to settle for fourth under Andrew Lynch for Henry De Bromhead.

The winning rider said afterwards: "He travelled well and jumped great. It probably wasn't the greatest contest but he benefited from that."
