El Presidente shows who's boss

The Michael Halford trained El Presidente made a winning hurdle debut, under Paddy Flood, in the opening Fancy A Festive Flutter 3YO Hurdle at Gowran today.

The son of Daylami raced prominently before moving through to lead before the straight, eventually staying on well for a four lengths win over Manor Park

Afterwards a delighted Halford reported "El Presidente was a good Flat horse and has taken well to hurdling. He seemed to enjoy himself today and will handle better ground too. He'll run next over Christmas."
