Gordon Elliott saddled his 7th winner of the August festival at Tramore to take the leading trainer prize as Theatre Wine triumphed in the mares beginners chase under Keith Donoghue.

Not that you could see much from the enclosure with the weather closing in but Theatre Wine seemed to make just about all. She jumped left at times, and though pegged back approaching two out she kept on well on the run-in to defeat Castle White by seven lengths.

Keith Donoghue said: "She bounced back to form. She was just unlucky a couple of times to fall. She did it well there, we went a good gallop and she kept going well. It was the plan to jump out and go a good gallop and she kept at it well. She looks the type who could progress, I'm not sure what the plan is for her now."
