Three of Phillip Enright's last six rides have been winners and he completed a 25/1 double in the opening two races at Thurles. He added to his gains in the first on Way Up In Air (Robert Tyner) when Jimmy Mangan's Letter Of Credit took the Boylesports Rated Chase.

Lambro's defection (scoped wrong) left this two and a quarter miler as a four horse race. That was further reduced to three when Sweeney Tunes got rid of Steven Clements with a bad mistake at the final fence with a circuit to go.

Letter Of Credit likes this track and he travelled well into contention, having been waited with through the contest.

Odds-on favourite Rupert Lamb still had his chance when falling two out. Then Letter Of Credit got the better of Competitive Edge from before the last.

He got in too close to that obstacle and hit it but that did little to halt his momentum as he went away up the run-in to convincingly defeat Competitive Edge by six lengths.

Mangan has care of Letter Of Credit for the No Credit Syndicate and he commented: "If you're not in you can't win! Really beforehand I was settling for the third prize-money.

"In fairness though his jumping has picked up a good bit.

"He's well handicapped over hurdles and we may go for a three mile handicap now." (AM & EM)
