Equation Of Time caused a 16/1 upset when winning the Friday HorseRacing Returns 27th September Handicap (Div 2) at Dundalk today for trainer Garvin Donnelly and jockey Conor Hoban.
The winner, which had previously won a Lingfield maiden last year for trainer David Flood, scooted clear in the closing stages and won easily by five and a half lengths from Khelino
Donnelly later said “I bought him in Newmarket last October and he had some form over there. He's had little bits of problems on and off but nothing major.
“He's highly strung and I thought the hood would settle him down and he likes this all-weather surface. He's progressive and could even jump a hurdle as we've schooled him at home.
“It's nice to get off the cold list and we've had a lot of winners here – it's been lucky to us.”
