Indian Fairy quickened up well between the final two fences to settle matters in the Prior Park Service Station Handicap Chase at Clonmel.

The Eoin Doyle-trained mare was left in the lead three from home in the 2m2f contest after front-runner Gallant Tipp crashed out.

It soon developed into a two-horse race as 5/2 favourite Holeinthewall Bar gave chase into the straight.

Donagh Meyler sent Indian Fairy on after the penultimate fence, however, and she galloped on strongly in the closing stages to score by 10 lengths at odds of 8/1.

The winner had attracted some support having traded at 14/1 this morning.

She had won her beginners chase at the course last year and was making her first start since failing to make an impressive behind Upazo in a conditions event at Tramore in August.
