Morethanafeeling notched up her third win of the season as she eased to victory in the Gowran Park Apprentice Handicap under Marc Monaghan for trainer Christy Donoghue.

The grey daughter of Verglas was sent off at 10/1 after finishing out of the frame on her last few outings.

Having raced in mid-division she improved from before the straight and kept on best inside the final furlong on the inner to record an easy six and a half-length success. Quill And Vellum finished best of the rest back in second under David Parkes for Jim Bolger at 8/1 while Mooretown Boy kept on well to take third at 25/1 under Ray Dawson for Frank Oakes.

After winning at Dundalk on Sunday Xsquared was sent off the 7/2 favourite for the mother and daughter team of Joanna Morgan and Kate McGivern but he could only manage eighth.

Winning trainer Chirsty Donoghue said afterwards: "We deserved that win as we had a third and fourth with our last two runners.

"She might go for a handicap hurdle at Listowel now or a race on the level there over 1m 2f. She is handicapped over hurdles."

Winning rider Marc Monaghan was recording his ninth winner of the season and his fifteenth in total.
