Fencing battles well to score first time

Fencing Master made a winning debut in the Median Auction Maiden at Dundalk for Ballydoyle.

Johnny Murtagh was rowing along on his mount from before the straight but he stuck on well.

The son of Oratorio got to the front two furlongs from home and repelled the strong challenge of Moonreach from over a furlong out to prevail by a neck.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien was absent.
