Fennis Boy wins Clonmel finale

The John 'Shark' Hanlon trained Fennis Boy ran out a game winner of the concluding Ardfinnan Bumper at Clonmel today.

Ridden by top amateur Brian O'Connell, the gelding raced prominently before moving through to lead four furlongs out, staying on well for a two and a half lengths win.

Afterwards Hanlon mentioned "Fennis Boy's owners are keen to run in the Bumper at Cheltenham and if he gets in, he will run there. He is a tough, game horse."
