Fixed Fee Puts it All Together

Fixed Fee began his career when failing as a short-priced favourite as this course back in March but on his fourth start and his second effort over flights, he shed his maiden tag in the Kanturk Maiden Hurdle.

Paul Townend went up the inside of Thelobstercatcher (a morning market-mover) on Fixed Fee clearly going best and Willie Mullins' runner asserted on the run in to prevail by two lengths.

Mullins said: "I'm delighted with that. He has disappointed us an awful lot as he shows us a lot at home and it was only out of despair that I ran him here. The ground must be riding fast, the time of the race was quick and maybe the drying ground could have been a help. He has got his reprieve after that."
