Paddy Flood recorded his first flat winner when 2/1 favourite Darenjan from the Shark Hanlon stable came home in front of the Star - Best For Racing Coverage Handicap.
Winning trainer Hanlon said afterwards: “It was great too come here after Galway and win on the flat. He was too low in the handicap for the Cesarewitch at Newmarket but that should put him in now.”
“We will probably give him a run over hurdles in Listowel before we go to Newmarket.”
