For Bill bolts up in p2p.ie Bumper

The Mick Winters trained For Bill ran out a thoroughly impressive winner of the p2p.ie Mares Point to Point Bumper at Tipperary this evening, providing her owner Donie Sheehan with the perfect birthday party.

Colourful Sheehan, a popular Killarney pharmacist, turned 83 yesterday, was present to witness the mare effortlessly bolt home by 13 lengths under Mikey O'Connor, leaving 19 rivals well behind to fight out the place money.

Afterwards a delighted Winters stated "that was a very good performance and hopefully she will be left off now for the summer. I'd imagine she will come back in for Listowel next September to go hurdling."

He added "two lads working with me, Timmy Horgan and Mike Cronin, deserve plenty of credit and play a big role in my yard."
